Behind the Scenes | Summer Editions

For our latest Summer Editions photoshoot we recruited Sydney based photographer Kathryn King to capture Twill & Tee's relaxed Australian style, with my chosen home of the Southern Highlands as our location. With a shared background in fashion it was the perfect collaboration to capture our range of essential Summer dresses in this beautiful rural location.

I moved to the Southern Highlands from Sydney three years ago with my family and we haven't regretted a day since. Scouting for locations for our photoshoot was an easy task with captivating rolling hills, views of vineyards, and idyllic landscapes to choose from. I wanted to capture the ease of wearing these dresses and the simplicity of nature provided the perfect backdrop.

With perfect weather, grassy fields and picturesque fences, our model Ioulia (@iamioulia) navigated through the long grass and remained calm while covered in tiny unknown insects!

While working and running a small business outside of a major city can sometimes be challenging, regional Australia has given us space, proximity to nature and for myself, room for creativity. With regional Australia's love of coffee, wine and culinary cuisine the country has deprived us of nothing but has given us more. The Southern Highlands is home to luxury boutique hotels, stunning Airbnb's, amazing dining and a main street that still supports small businesses.

I designed the Summer Editions range for women who want easy, everyday, wearable styles with no fuss. Caring for these durable cotton pieces is also simple with very little ironing required. Dress them up or down - you choose. The styles are relaxed but flattering and can be worn from dawn to dusk.
