Twill & Tee was conceived in 2018 when l set out to create a brand inspired not only by a love of fashion but of quality, well-made clothing. My career in design and manufacturing has been spent learning the craft of considered garment construction and to constantly strive for unique design, wearability and the perfect fit.

Understanding Women's Needs

As a designer and a female in their early fifties, I genuinely understand that women today lead diverse and dynamic lives. That's why I place you at the centre of my design process, ensuring each piece is not only stylish but also functional and comfortable. With thirty years of experience in garment manufacturing, I also recognise that women's bodies are distinct and evolve over time. This understanding enables me to create clothing that accommodates a variety of shapes and sizes, allowing every woman to feel confident and comfortable in what she wears.

Embracing Sustainability

At Twill & Tee, sustainability is at the heart of our design philosophy. We prioritise quality over quantity, predominantly using natural fibres in our garments, ensuring comfort without compromising the integrity of each piece and choosing fabrics that are biodegradable rather than synthetics such as polyester, essentially plastic which can take anywhere from 20 - 200 years to decompose. By crafting limited quantities of essential styles, we aim to minimise our ecological footprint and promote a thoughtful, adaptable approach to building your wardrobe.

Quality Over Quantity

We embrace the 'less is more' philosophy, emphasising high-quality staple styles that integrate effortlessly with your existing wardrobe. These timeless pieces not only enhance your look but also simplify assembling an outfit. By choosing well-crafted, durable garments, you reduce the need for frequent replacements, promoting a more sustainable and thoughtful approach to fashion.

The Importance of Australian Made Clothing

At Twill & Tee, we are deeply committed to supporting local makers and upholding ethical production practices. We work with small reputable manufacturers that we work closely with through ever aspect of the manufacturing process. By crafting our clothing locally, we ensure exceptional quality. This process not only assures that each garment is made with care but also contributes to a more sustainable and ethical fashion industry.

Recognising that women's bodies naturally evolve over time is a fundamental aspect of our design process. Life stages such as menopause and motherhood can bring about significant changes and our designs are thoughtfully crafted to embrace these transitions. By creating garments that adapt to the unique needs of women in their forties and fifties, we ensure that our clothing remains both flattering and comfortable, supporting you through every stage of life with confidence.
